Our Story

Our Story

Cooperative Adrar was founded in 2014, but our roots in rug weaving go back generations.

We are a family of artisans from the heart of the Atlas Mountains, where the tradition of handmade Moroccan rugs is passed down like a story — from father to son, from mother to daughter.

My name is [Your Name], and I’ve been working with rugs for over 25 years. But I didn’t learn this craft in a school or from a book — I learned it from my father, just as he learned it from his. For us, weaving isn’t a job. It’s a way of life. It’s how we honor our past, support our community, and bring beauty into the world.

In 2014, I launched Cooperative Adrar to help preserve and share this heritage with the world. Our cooperative brings together skilled women and men from local villages who hand-weave each rug with care, patience, and pride. Each rug tells a story — not just of tradition and craft, but of the people who made it.

Today, we send our rugs to homes around the world — each one made by hand, from natural wool, using time-honored techniques. We work directly with our customers, offering both ready-made and custom rugs, while staying true to our roots.

Thank you for supporting our work and for helping keep our culture and community alive through every rug you bring into your home.

From the mountains of Morocco, with gratitude —
The Cooperative Adrar Family
